SSC General Duty (GD) Exam Pattern.
The SSC GD Exam pattern is decided by the Staff Selection commission. Candidates interested to appear for SSC GD 2022 should read the exam pattern of the SSC Constable (GD) examination.

The exam pattern of SSC constable(GD) is divided into four stages:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
A full analysis of each of these phases is provided below:
Computer-Based Examination (CBE): This is an online test which is conducted by SSC. It consists of objective-type questions and multiple-choice questions which have four sections:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This test will be scheduled and conducted by the CAPFs. This test assesses the candidate’s physical fitness. Candidates have to clear the race within the given time limits followed by a biometric/ technology-aided identification test. Ex-Servicemen candidate have relaxation for this test.
Physical Standard Test (PST): This test evaluates the physical standards of the candidates based on three factors – height, chest, and weight. Ex-Servicemen candidates have relaxation for this test but will have to appear in the exam for the measurement of height, chest, and weight only.
Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Shortlisted candidates who qualify for the PET and PST are required to go through a detailed medical examination. These candidates are medically examined by the Medical Boards constituted by the CAPFs to assess their physical and medical fitness.

Education Qualification for SSC GD exam (As on 01.01.2023)
The candidates must have passed Matriculation or the 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Age limit for SSC GD Recruitment 2022 (As on 01.01.2023)
Candidate age must be 18 to 23 years. However, all candidates have 3 years of relaxation in the upper age limit due to the Covid Pandemic. This 3-year age relaxation beyond the respective prescribed upper age limit for all categories of candidates is a one-time measure for this recruitment

Fee Payable: 100 rupees
